A collection of Name Music pieces in lead sheet format for two and three instruments, composed by Mer/Mary Pantaleoni Boel, Ruth Roland, and Hank Roberts (members of Water Bear). The pieces are inspired by the letters in a name, using the mapping system Mer developed -- and they expand from there, with melody, harmony (sometimes 2 harmony lines), and chords.
A Collection of 36 fiddle tunes, composed by Mer/Mary Pantaleoni Boel from 1988 onwards. There are Jigs, Reels, Waltzes, Marches, and a few Scandinavian pieces to round out the fun. All have melody and chords, and some pieces include harmony lines.
A lively syncopated romp for chamber ensemble: violin, cello, bass & piano. Full score and parts include cello part in tenor clef and also in bass clef.
A flowing waltz for chamber ensemble: violin, cello, bass & piano. Two cello parts are included, one in tenor clef and one in bass clef.
A String Orchestra arrangement that highlights the lower strings -- Viola, Cello, and Bass. The piece is in the form of a canon, and is majestic, slowly building and then receding.
An invigorating outing in 12/8 for two violins, cello, bass, and piano. The piece is technically easy, but does incorporate polyrhythms of 2 against 3 fairly often! Elegant and engaging, the music evokes a joyful parade celebration as it passes by the listeners and then recedes away into the distance.
